A lightened up paleo turkey meatloaf made with almond flour and loaded with coconut aminos, honey, and sesame seed flavors.

I have been all about the honey sesame flavor lately. Honey sesame chicken, honey sesame meatballs, and this honey sesame turkey meatloaf. I love eating it with this coconut aminos fried rice as well.
It’s a fun protein-packed flavorful meal that is easy to put together. Plus it is naturally gluten-free, grain-free, dairy-free, and Paleo.

Why this recipe works
- It is great for those that eat a dairy-free and gluten-free diet.
- It is protein-packed and uses a lighter protein source, turkey.
- It is full of honey sesame flavor, which is delicious.
- It comes together easily and cooks itself.
Recipe ingredients
- ground turkey– any kind works but I like regular fat turkey for meatloaf recipes because it is more moist.
- eggs– these bind everything together.
- garlic powder, onion powder, dried parsley– these season the meat.
- almond flour– this is used instead of flour. It is a great replacement.
- sesame seeds– these are sprinkled on top for crunch and flavor.
- toasted sesame oil– adds the most delicious toasted sesame flavor to your cooking.
- coconut aminos– Coconut aminos is a great soy sauce alternative. It has a sweeter, less harsh tasting flavor than soy sauce. And it is just delicious!
- honey– drippy honey works best here.
Additions/ Substitutions
- Instead of ground turkey, you can use ground chicken.
- Instead of coconut aminos, you can use soy sauce or balsamic vinegar.
Step by step instructions
This is a one bowl recipe! You basically add all the ingredients into a bowl. Then mix everything together, put it into a loaf tin and bake it for one hour at 375 degrees F.
Expert tips
- Ground turkey tips
- To get the best moist texture here, I recommend using 93% lean ground turkey. I get asked often if 99% fat free ground turkey can be used in my recipes, and while they can, it often results in a drier texture.
- How to store it
- Store in an airtight container for 3-5 days.
- How to serve this meatloaf
- Serve with fried rice or mashed potatoes, and asparagus for a complete meal.
