This healthy strawberry daiquiri recipe reminds me of summer vacation. It is a fruity sweet yet sour strawberry slushy drink that you can drink by the pool or enjoy outside. They taste amazing and are a great way to cool off on a hot day.
They are also made with simple real-food ingredients and are easy to make quickly at home.

Why this recipe works
- These skinny strawberry daiquiris are made with a handful of healthy ingredients.
- They are easy to make and come together in minutes.
- They are delicious and full of strawberry flavor.
- They are great for those looking to have a healthy daiquiri option. Most daiquiri mixes are filled with chemicals and sugars. But this recipe is only sweetened with the fruit itself and some honey.
Recipe ingredients
- frozen strawberries– try to use organic strawberries if you can to avoid pesticide exposure.
- lime juice– You can juice your own limes or buy lime juice.
- lemon juice– you can juice your own lemons or buy lemon juice. I like the flavor of juicing them myself.
- white rum– make sure to use a good quality rum.
- honey syrup– this can easily be made by melting honey into hot water. I’ll provide instructions below.
See recipe card below for a full list of ingredients and measurements.
Additions/ Substitutions
- Instead of making honey syrup, you can use maple syrup. It doesn’t need to be mixed into hot water, just pour it in as is.
- Instead of white rum, you can use a brown rum. Just use whatever you prefer and have on hand.
How to make a healthy strawberry daiquiri
Step 1: Make the honey syrup.
You can make a “honey syrup” by mixing hot water into honey and letting the honey melt into the water. Melting the honey ensures it won’t harden when it hits the cold frozen fruit.
Step 2: Make the drink.
Blend the frozen strawberries, lemon juice, lime juice, honey syrup, and rum in your blender. Very easy!
Expert tips
(1) Adjust the sweetness to your taste.
- Start off with making honey syrup with 3 Tablespoons of honey.
- Taste it and if you want it more sweet, make more honey syrup, adding another Tablespoon of honey at a time to your daiquiris.
(2) Use a high quality white rum that you like.
- The quality of the rum does make a difference to the taste and how you feel when you drink this cocktail.

I’m giving it 5 stars in advance because I know it will be scrumptious. I will use stevia instead of honey, because honey is higher in sugar. I’m trying to eat less carbs. Thanks for the easy recipe.
Hope you enjoyed it!!

I could go for one (or two) of these right now. The heat has had me trying to stay inside with the AC, but with one of these in hand, I could easily brave the outdoors.
