Strawberry-Citrus Beet and Carrot Juice (Paleo, GF)
I really wanted to name this juice “Love Potion”. Not only because this juice is the most beautiful color pink. A hue that brightens up my day and can’t help but put a smile on my face. ( And pink reminds me of the word “love”.) But also because I LOVE this Strawberry-Citrus Beet and Carrot Juice so much, and I can’t imagine anyone not feeling love for this drink when they drink it too.
Love Potion wasn’t a descriptive enough title, though. It wouldn’t make clear that there’s grapefruit, blood orange, carrots, strawberries, beets, and an apple inside. Which is so much healthy goodness!
It’s not just my taste buds that love this juice though, my body loves it even more! I feel invigorated after drinking it.
And that’s because of all of the vitamins and minerals inside. One serving of this Strawberry-Citrus Beet and Carrot Juice has over 300% of the vitamin A you need in a day and almost 200% of vitamin C.
Juicing has probably been one of my longest lasting health habits… I started in 2009 and have been hooked ever since.
I swear, once you feel the rush of vitamins hit your bloodstream, you’ll be hooked too!
I even got my husband super into juicing. If I don’t juice for a little while, he starts asking for me to make them more often. And this is coming from someone who never tried a beet before meeting me! 🙂
He prefers juices with fennel in them, while I’m all about the beet and grapefruit combination.
Is there anything better than grapefruit?! I know this fruit is one of those “love or hate” flavors, but I just love it. And even if you don’t, you’ll still love this juice because it just works.
I’ve been posting a lot of my juices on my Instagram stories and have been asked what juicer I use. I use the same one that I have been using since the very beginning. Though, my current one is a newer model, since I didn’t pack it up in my most recent move. It’s a Waring Pro Juicer. It’s less than $60 and is SO easy to juice and clean.
One of the best tips that I could give for anyone looking to get into juicing or to juice more is to get a juicer that is easy to use and to clean.
You won’t keep up with juicing if your juicer is a pain in the butt to clean. I just rinse mine out with water, and put the pieces into the dishwasher.
I hope you LOVE this love potion ( this Strawberry-Citrus Beet and Carrot Juice) as much as I do.
I’m already planning on making it for Valentine’s Day. 🙂
