If you love bacon recipes as much as I do, then you should try my bacon wrapped dates or my bacon wrapped carrots recipes.
Both of those recipes showcase why bacon is so amazing when covering various ingredients and when cooked in the oven.
Ingredients needed to make these Bacon Wrapped Chicken Tenders:
- bacon
- chicken tenders
- paprika
- garlic powder
- onion powder
- chili powder
- chili flakes
- salt and pepper
Note: if you are following a Paleo or Whole30 diet, or just wanting a healthier recipe option in general, be sure to use bacon without any added sugars or nitrates. I like Pederson’s farms Whole30 bacon.
How to cook bacon wrapped chicken tenders
To start, you prep the chicken by cutting the chicken into tender sized pieces, and seasoning them.
To season them, mix salt, black pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, chili powder, paprika, and chili flakes in a small bowl and then rub the mix into the chicken.
Then, you’ll need cut strips of bacon in half, long ways.
I found that it was easier to wrap the bacon around the chicken when it was cut up into thinner strips.
I probably wrapped about 1.5 pieces of bacon around each chicken tender.
Once the bacon is wrapped around the chicken tenders, bake them for about 35 minutes, or until the bacon is crispy.
If you are wondering what temp to cook bacon wrapped chicken tenders, the oven should be at 425 F.
Anyways, after the 35 minute mark of the tenders cooking, if you want them to be a bit more crispy, then broil them for a few extra minutes.
Tip: Keep an eye on your chicken when it broils… every oven is different and some are stronger than others. So I would check on them every minute or so.
How to serve this Paleo bacon wrapped chicken
For starters, you can serve these chicken tenders with a wide variety of dipping sauces.
- ranch
- blue cheese dip
- bbq sauce
- honey mustard sauce
- ketchup

As for sides to serve along these bacon wrapped chicken tenders:
- I like serving them with roasted potatoes and broccoli because it makes for a quick and filling nutritious meal
- I also love serving these along side a big tomato salad
Yummy variations to try:
- Using smoked bacon instead of regular bacon
- Using turkey bacon
- Adding coconut sugar to the seasoning
- Adding maple syrup on top of the bacon prior to bacon
- Cutting the chicken into bite sized pieces prior to wrapping in bacon to make bite sized pieces.

- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

- 1/4 teaspoon chili powder

- Note: At the 20 minute mark, use a paper towel to absorb some of the bacon fat and throw it away.
