How to cook bacon wrapped chicken tenders
Step 1- Cut and season the chicken.
- cut the chicken into tender sized pieces
- mix together salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, chili powder, paprika and chili flakes in a bowl
- season the chicken
Step 2- Wrap the chicken tenders in bacon.
- first, cut the strips on bacon in half, long ways
- wrap each piece of bacon around the chicken ( you’ll use about 1.5 pieces of bacon per chicken tender)
Step 3- Bake.
- Bake them for about 35 minutes, or until the bacon is crispy.
- Broil for a few minutes if you need them to get more crispy.
- Keep an eye on your chicken when it broils. Every oven is different and some are stronger than others. So check on them every minute or so.
How to serve them:
You can serve these chicken tenders with a wide variety of dipping sauces.
- ranch
- blue cheese dip
- bbq sauce
- honey mustard sauce
- ketchup
If you are looking for healthier dip or sauce options, check out Primal Kitchens sauces. I also personally love this Paleo and Keto Ranch from Sir Kensingtons.
You can also serve this chicken with sides to make it a complete meal.
- I like serving them with roasted potatoes and broccoli because it makes for a quick and filling nutritious meal
- I also love serving these along side a big tomato salad
Recipe variations to try:
- Using smoked bacon instead of regular bacon
- Using turkey bacon
- Adding coconut sugar to the seasoning
- Adding maple syrup on top of the bacon prior to bacon
- Cutting the chicken into bite sized pieces prior to wrapping in bacon to make bite sized pieces.

Easy Bacon Wrapped Chicken Tenders (Paleo, Gluten-Free)
Ingredients
- 1.5 pounds chicken breast cut into tenders
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/4 teaspoon chili powder
- 1/2 teaspoon paprika
- a pinch of chili flakes
- 8 strips of bacon sliced in half longways
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 425 degrees F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a small bowl, mix all of the seasoning/spices. Rub the seasoning on the chicken.
- Wrap each chicken tender with the strips of bacon (that have been sliced in half longways). I ended up using 1.5 pieces of bacon per chicken tender. Try to tuck the ends of the bacon under each chicken tender.
- Bake for 35 minutes, or until bacon is crispy. Broil for 1-2 minutes.
- Note: At the 20 minute mark, use a paper towel to absorb some of the bacon fat and throw it away.
