Cinnamon Pumpkin Roasted Almonds {Paleo, GF}
I’ve been super into roasted almonds lately. I love the way they make the house smell and I love having crunchy healthy snacks around the house.
You can never really have too many roasted almonds this time of year, so I thought it was time to share a pumpkin spiced roasted almond recipe. These Cinnamon Pumpkin Roasted Almonds are addicting! Good thing they are a delicious and healthy Paleo, Gluten-free, Grain-free snack.
I had the idea to add pumpkin puree to roasted almonds for a while now. I did some research and noticed that there were only pumpkin spice flavored roasted almond recipes on the net.
I didn’t find any with any actual pumpkin puree in them. ( I’m sure some exist but I didn’t spot any in my hunt)
I wasn’t sure if this was because using pumpkin puree didn’t work, but I wanted to test it out for myself.
And I’m glad I did because these Cinnamon Pumpkin Roasted Almonds are soooo good! I am hooked!
The flavors are not overwhelming here, there is a slight pumpkin flavor, which adds an almost earthy element to these roasted almonds.
They aren’t overly sweet either, which is nice. I’ve been trying to cut back on my sweets consumption, especially this time of year, and I found the amount of maple syrup here to add the slightest bit of sweetness.
The cinnamon, ginger, nutmeg, and cloves here add a bit of pumpkin spice to these almonds. Basically the combination of the maple syrup, pumpkin, and spices work really well together, resulting in a lightly pumpkin spiced roasted almond.
The roasted almonds are still the main stars of this recipe, in case you were wondering how the flavor overall tastes.
To me, there is a pleasant pumpkin and pumpkin spice seasoning, but it isn’t overpowering.
These Cinnamon Pumpkin Roasted Almonds would be a great snack to bring to a party or would make a great gift. I can already imagine putting some in a mason jar, tying it up with a Fall ribbon and giving it as a gift. How cute?!
Cinnamon Pumpkin Roasted Almonds {Paleo, GF}
Ingredients
- 2 cups almonds
- 2 Tbs maple syrup
- 2 Tbs organic pumpkin puree
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- ¼ tsp ground ginger
- 1/8 tsp ground nutmeg
- 1/8 tsp ground cloves
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350 degrees. Cover a cookie sheet in parchment paper.
- Evenly spread out 2 cups of almonds onto the cookie sheet and bake them for 5 minutes.
- Remove the almonds from the oven, but keep the oven on. Pour the almonds into a larger bowl. Keep the parchment paper on the cookie sheet.
- In a small bowl, mix the maple syrup, pumpkin puree, cinnamon, ginger, nutmeg, and cloves, until well mixed. Pour the mixture on top of the almonds and mix until all of the almonds are coated in the pumpkin mixture.
- Evenly spread out the almonds onto the lined cookie sheet again, make sure that they aren’t overcrowded. Bake for 10 minutes, then mix the almonds around on the cookie sheet. Bake for 5 more minutes, mix again. Remove the almonds from the oven and let them cool on the pan for 5 minutes, this lets everything harden a bit more.

15 mts at 350 is really long
these are super tasty! Just wondering, how long is the shelf life of these once made (or fresh until date?) One week?
Yes! I would say one week in an airtight container. 🙂
Great idea and they are roasting now. I have organic pie pumpkins but was not going to go through the trouble of making them into a puree for a couple of tablespoons. Do recommend an alternative?
If you don’t have pumpkin puree, you could try making these Cinnamon Maple Roasted Almonds.
I am do going to try these!
Let me know how you like them! 🙂
I’ve never though to roast Almonds with pumpkin flavor. Sounds awesome!
I’m all about nuts for snacking and now I’m wondering why I’ve never tried this version, looks so good!
We do roast our almond but I have never used pumpkin puree for that! Such a clever and super seasonal idea 🙂 Perfect for adding as a munch snack!
Thanks for sharing
I love almonds! I could easily see myself mindlessly eating these for hours…which probably wouldn’t be the best decision 🙂 I’m going to have to give these a try

ooooh! I bet your house smells so good! I find almond irresistible — I could keep eating and eating them. I’ve never heard of adding pumpkin spice to almonds but I love the spice so I can’t imagine it not being out of this world. great inspiration.
Does this recipe come in a perfume bottle or room fragrance. I don’t think I want the delicious smell to go away after I make this.
I would have never thought to use pumpkin puree like this! What a fun, festive treat!
This looks like the perfect snack food to me. Almonds are my favorite nut and we eat a lot of them in the household. I can’t wait to make these for my husband and me!
You are inspiring me to roast almonds…. I want that smell in my house.
It’s SUCH a good smell… Sigh 🙂
