Turmeric Maple Glazed Carrots

Carrots roasted in the oven in a maple syrup and turmeric glaze. They make an easy and tasty side dish for meals.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb large carrots , peeled
  • 2 Tablespoons olive oil
  • 1/8 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground turmeric
  • a sprinkle of ground black pepper
  • 2 Tablespoons maple syrup

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 400 degrees F. Cover a cookie sheet with aluminum foil.
  • Mix salt, pepper, olive oil, ground turmeric and maple syrup together in bowl. 
  • Spray the cookie sheet with olive oil. Lay the carrots onto the cookie sheet and cover in the maple turmeric sauce using a basting brush.
  • Bake in the oven for 35-40 minutes, or until the carrots become gold and soft and you can easily stab them with a knife. If you like your carrots more or less cooked, add more or less time to the cooking.
