Ingredients

  • frozen banana
  • Tbs  maple syrup
  • 1/2 cup yogurt (greek, icelandic, plain or vanilla yogurt)(dairy free yogurt works as well)
  • 1/4  cup almond milk
  • Tbs  almond butter
  • ice as needed  (I added about 1 cup of crushed ice)

Instructions

  • Put all of the ingredients into a blender and mix until smooth. Start with a little bit of ice, taste and add more if needed.
  • Serve and then sprinkle a little more almond butter on top of your smoothie.
  • This recipe makes 2 cups of smoothie, which serves 1.

Notes

Plain or vanilla yogurt is best. You can use greek yogurt, icelandic yogurt, or plain yogurt. You can also use dairy free yogurt if you are avoiding dairy.
