You can’t have too many brownie recipes if you ask me. From almond flour brownies, to almond butter and jelly brownies to these white chocolate brownies, they are all delicious in their own way.

This white chocolate brownies recipe is for all the white chocolate lovers out there. The base of the brownie batter is made with melted white chocolate and then a mixture of white chocolate chips and dark chocolate chips is sprinkled into it. Why you’ll love these white chocolate brownies

  • They are fudgy and chewy and burst with white chocolate flavor!
  • They aren’t too sweet. Since white chocolate is already sweet, I only added 1/4 cup of sugar. (Most traditional brownie recipes use over 1 cup)
  • The contrast of the dark chocolate chips works really well against the white chocolate base.
  • They are great to make for the white chocolate lovers in your life.
  • They are done in less than 30 minutes, including prep and baking.

Recipe ingredients

Ingredients needed to make white chocolate brownies.
  • butter– use any good quality butter here.
  • white chocolate chips– use white chocolate that you like the taste of. I like Ghirardelli white chocolate chips.
  • dark chocolate chips– again make sure you like the chocolate you are using. You can use dark or semi-sweet chocolate here.
  • eggs– these help bind the brownies together.
  • sugar– organic cane sugar works well here.
  • flour– I like to use an organic all purpose flour.
  • baking powder– this helps the brownies rise a bit.
  • vanilla– this give a nice flavor.

Expert tips

  • Don’t melt the white chocolate at too high of heat or too quickly or it will become grainy. The key is to microwave it in 15 second increments.
  • Use good quality white chocolate that you enjoy the taste of.
  • Set chocolate chips aside to add to the top of the brownies prior to baking. This makes the brownies prettier.
  • If you want gooey brownies, cook them for less time. If you want firmer brownies, cook them for longer.

Creamy white chocolate flavors up a tasty brownie with chocolate chips.

  • 4 Tablespoons butter
  • 1 1/2 cups white chocolate chips, divided in half
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1 cup all purpose flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 3/4 cups dark chocolate chips

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 325 degrees F. Make sure your oven rack is in the top 1/3 of the oven.
  • Grease an 8×8 inch pan and line with parchment paper.
  • Put the butter and 3/4 cups of white chocolate chips in a small microwave safe bowl. Microwave in 15 second increments until melted.
  • In a separate bowl, mix the eggs and sugar with a a hand-held electric mixer until light and a bit foamy. This should take 2 minutes.
  • Add the melted white chocolate mixture, flour, baking powder and vanilla to the egg mixture and beat with an electric mixer until just mixed.
  • Fold in 3/4 cups of the white chocolate chips and 3/4 cups of the dark chocolate chips into the mixture. Pour into the greased and lined pan, and push down on the batter with a rubber spatula to evenly spread it in the pan.
  • Bake for 20-25 minutes. Start checking it at the 20 minute mark. You'll know they are done when the edges start to get a little bit golden and the middle looks set.
  • Let the brownies cool for 20 minutes prior to cutting. (If you can wait that long). These also taste delicious warm.

  1. Made them today in my new induction stove.  It is my first time baking sweets in the oven.  The brownies needed more time.  Not sure if it is my oven or the temperature or time that the recipe indicated.  4 stars

  2. Hey! any chance i could get these ingredients in metric? this looks lovely but i am british and it’s such a fuss with the cups etc for me 😂 thanks 🙂

    1. Hi! I just updated my recipe settings for this recipe. If you click on the “metric” button right under the word “Ingredients” in my recipe card, it should convert it.

Let me know how that works!
