Turkey sausage patties in a pan.

These turkey sausage patties are one of my favorite ways to eat ground turkey! The seasoning in them makes them a perfect breakfast sausage option, or even a perfect meat option to add to bowls or meals. They are filling, flavorful, healthy, and easy to make. They are also naturally dairy free, gluten free, Paleo and Whole30 compliant.

I know sausage patties are usually known for breakfast, but I love using them to top big veggie bowls. If you also love one-bowl meals, try my Korean Beef Bowls.

Why this recipe works

  • It’s a delicious way to use ground turkey. There is so much flavor cooking them this way.
  • It is high protein! Each turkey sausage patty has about 18 grams of protein.
  • These are great for anyone following a Whole30, Paleo, Gluten free, or Dairy free diet.
  • These are also allergy friendly. There are no nuts, soy, gluten or dairy in them.

Recipe ingredients

Ingredients needed to make healthy turkey sausage patties.
  • Ground turkey– make sure to use ground turkey with a regular fat content ( not a 99% fat free one). This will result in better flavor.
  • Garlic powder, onion powder, fennel seeds, rubbed sage, paprika, parsley, thyme– these herbs and spices season the patties in an easy way.

See recipe card below for a full list of ingredients and measurements.

Additions/ Substitutions

  • You can add maple syrup to the sausage patty mixture if you like your sausage patties sweet.
  • You can also add blueberries.
  • You can omit any seasoning that you don’t like.

Expert tips

  • Do not overcook the turkey patties or they will dry out. Make sure to cook them until the middle is not longer pink and there is a nice brown on either side.
  • Use turkey meat with some fat in it. This will give the patties more flavor.
  • Make sure to use the fennel seeds. These give the patties their “sausage” flavor.
