What makes this recipe great

  • It is easy to make! All you have to do is mix a handful of ingredients together in a blender or food processor.
  • It’s the perfect Fall white Russian recipe. If now isn’t the time to make pumpkin alcoholic drinks, I don’t know what is.
  • It is a naturally dairy-free recipe, but can easily be tweaked to fit your needs.
  • It tastes like pumpkin spice / pumpkin pie/ and a white Russian had a baby.

Recipe ingredients

Pumpkin spice russian ingredients.
  • Almond milk– make sure it doesn’t have any added flavors or sugars inside.
  • Vodka- any higher quality vodka will work. I like using Grey Goose.
  • Coffee liqueur– I use Kahlua here.
  • Pumpkin puree– you can use fresh or canned. I use canned.
  • Pumpkin pie spice / pumpkin spice– you can buy it pre-made or make your own pumpkin spice.
  • Maple syrup– this sweetness enhances the pumpkin flavor.

Presentation/ Serving ideas

I love making my drinks look pretty, especially when they are festive, so here are some fun ideas for how you could dress this drink up!

  • Rim your glass with sugar.
  • Add pomegranate seeds on top of your drink.
  • Add fresh cranberries to the top of your drink.
  • Rim your glass with ground up graham crackers or ginger snaps.
  • Add a cinnamon stick to your glass.
  • Top your drink with whipped cream. So Delicious makes a good cocowhip dairy-free whipped cream.

Expert tips

  • Use a good quality vodka.
  • Start with 1/4 teaspoon pumpkin spice in your recipe. Taste it and if you want more add a little bit more.
  • If you want this cocktail to be less sweet, add 1/2 of a Tablespoon of maple syrup to start. Taste it and see if you want to add the other 1/2.
