If you love cinnamon, and you want your whole apartment to turn into a baker’s cinnamon heaven, then you’ve got to try these grain-free, non-processed, coffe cake muffins
They make your kitchen feel and smell warm and cozy. And they taste even better than they smell!
These Cinnamon Coffee Cake Crumble Muffins have been my go-to “with coffee” muffins for a while now.
What snack do I want with my cup of coffee? These Cinnamon Coffee Cake Crumble Muffins.
What breakfast pastry do I want with my cup of coffee? These Cinnamon Coffee Cake Crumble Muffins.
What dessert do I want with a cup of late night espresso? These Cinnamon Coffee Cake Crumble Muffins.
Seriously these muffins go so perfectly with a nice cup of coffee… or tea.
There is a reason that coffee cake has the name ‘coffee’ in it without coffee in the ingredient list… because it’s perfect with a cup of coffee!
I can’t think of a better muffin to make if you are going to meet up with friends or family for a cup of coffee.
No one would know that they are Paleo either… they are moist, sweet, full of sweet cinnamon flavors.
My favorite Paleo sweets are those that no one would know they are Paleo. 🙂
To make them, I first made a cinnamon muffin batter and then put half of it into 12 muffin tins.
Then I added a maple/cinnamon glaze, topped that in the rest of the batter and then covered the whole muffin in a cinnamon maple almond flour crumble.
Yum, yum, yum.
The smell is just divine.
Cinnamon can fill my kitchen anytime!
But don’t just make these just for the smell… make these if you love coffee cake and cinnamon.
Who knew non-processed, clean cinnamon coffee cake muffins could be so good?
I’ve made these Cinnamon Coffee Cake Crumble Muffins many many times, and recently made a few tweaks to the original recipe.
I hope you love them as much as I do!
And I hope they are the perfect match to your morning cup of coffee or tea. 🙂

Can this be made as a single coffee cake instead of individual muffins? If so, what would you recommend for the baking time?
Yes it can. I have never personally done it, but I did a quick search of the net and found to add 10-20 minutes to the baking time and just constantly check it. 🙂 Let me know if you try this, I’d love to know!
I just tried these and they are awesome! They taste just like cinnamon coffee cake. They taste like they ought to have sugar in them, but they don’t; they are one of the best naturally sweetened things I have ever tried. I don’t like maple syrup, so I used Truvia Nectar instead (I used half as much, as advised on the package), and they still turned out great! No bad aftertaste; they absolutely taste like they have sugar in them. Despite having coconut milk, coconut flour, and coconut oil in them, they have no coconut taste at all. And despite having a banana in them, they don’t taste like banana. Kudos to you for developing a great recipe!
I’m so happy you loved them!! Paleo desserts are sometimes like a science project and it’s the best when they work out! These disappear quickly every single time I make them… #coffeecakelover 🙂
Just pulled these out of the oven and they and the house smell divine! Thought I’d bake them today so tomorrow I can enjoy a Christmas morning treat without fussing in the kitchen, but I might have to eat one or two today 🙂 Also my 2yo loved helping mommy make these!
Thanks for the comment! I love how these muffins make the house smell :). I hope you and your family have a Merry Christmas!
Can you taste the chocolate ?
No you can’t taste the chocolate. 🙂
